At McKeever Mountain Guiding we love spending time in the mountains and on the crags. Walking, scrambling and climbing in summer and winter is where we feel most at home and sharing these places and experiences with others is what drives us.
Based on the west coast of Scotland, McKeever Mountain Guiding is dedicated to providing professional hill walking, mountaineering and climbing guiding and instruction in some of the UK's most inspiring mountain environments. Bag Skye Munros or traverse the Cuillin Ridge, climb some of Scotland's classic scrambles or winter climbs around Ben Nevis and Glen Coe, learn the skills to do it yourself, or just explore the stunning Scottish mountains with us. We love to do it all!

McKeever Mountain Guiding Ltd is directed by Caspar McKeever, a dedicated and passionate climber, alpinist and mountain instructor.
We offer customised, professionally instructed and guided adventures in the UK, largely based around the west coast of Scotland. We specialise in the Cuillin Ridge and the west coast of Scotland's scrambles and climbs in the summer. In the winter you will only find us above the snow line climbing and mountaineering in the Highlands of Scotland. Caspar has been instructing and guiding across the UK and further afield since 2010, working for some of Britain's premium outdoor companies and Scotland's National Training Centre; Glenmore Lodge. During this time he has developed an intimate knowledge of the areas we specialise in. He has worked for the British Antarctic Survey as a Field Guide providing the safety and logistical support for remote scientific projects and over-wintered at Rothera Research Station in 2015. He continues to visit Antarctica with BAS. Caspar has also worked on film projects in remote locations providing safety and advice for organisations such as the BBC, PS&L and MWSS. |

Qualifications
Caspar is a full member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (AMI) and is a Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor, the highest award in the British Mountain Training system. He also holds a number of other mountain qualifications such as the Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor certificate, the Winter Mountain Leader certificate, the Mountain Leader certificate and the Rock Climbing Instructor certificate. He is insured for all the activities he provides.
Very occasionally we may call upon a small and select pool of highly qualified and experienced guides, instructors and leaders to help us deliver our days on the hill. All our guides, instructors and leaders are qualified and insured for the activities we provide and selected by McKeever Mountain Guiding as the best out there.
