BEN NEVIS & GLENCOE

Guided climbing and scrambling on the UK's highest mountains

Tower Ridge

Summit Ben Nevis, the UK's highest mountain, by one of the most popular mountaineering routes in the country.
With Coire na Ciste and North East Buttress as your backdrop, and under the care of our expert guiding, you'll climb 600m from the CIC Hut to the very summit of "the Ben". As you scramble and climb up the prominent ridge that dominates the North Face of Ben Nevis, you'll pass iconic features such as the Eastern Traverse, the Great Tower, and ultimately, the iconic Tower Gap.

I had an incredible day on Tower Ridge with Caspar. It was certainly a challenge for me, but he made it safe and fun, and there's no way I would have made it across Tower Gap without his calm and patient guiding! - Lucy T.

Aonach Eagach

Imagine scrambling along the crater rim of an ancient volcano. 4km of rocky ridge that was once molten lava and explosively active. This is exactly what you'll do when you traverse the Aonach Eagach.
As a grade 2 scramble, the Aonach Eagach is achievable for a lot of hill walkers. However, the technical ground and exposed positions means that a guided traverse of the ridge is the preference for many. Whether you're ticking off the two Munros or doing it for the scrambling, benefit from our experience when you do the Aonach Eagach with us.

I can't think of a better person to spend time with in the mountains. Caspar is patient, knowledgable and clearly very experienced. Thank you for an amazing day. - John L.

Curved Ridge

Driving north towards Glencoe, the view of Buachaille Etive Mor has to be one of the most iconic in Scotland. It's hard to not dream of standing on it's summit.
A near-perfect triangle of dark rock; a route up looks unlikely, but there are ways. And by far the most popular mountaineering route on 'the Buachaille' is Curved Ridge. Graded as a Moderate rock climb, it is feasible for anyone with some hill walking and scrambling experience and a good head for heights. Given where it is on the mountain, it's also often possible to climb Curved Ridge when the weather has ruled out other objectives.

Private Guiding
There is so much more to the Fort William and Glencoe area than Tower Ridge, the Aonach Eagach and Curved Ridge. There are numerous other ridges to choose from on Ben Nevis, and there's a huge amount of rock climbing to go at just a stones throw away. We could spend a day at the crags in Glen Nevis, climb classics such as Agag's Groove on Buachaille Etive Mor, or go a little esoteric with routes like Crypt Route on Bidean nam Bian. Let us know what you've done in the past, the type of adventure you're up for and we'll plan the perfect day for you and the conditions.
