The Scottish mountains are a wild and scenic environment in summer. In winter they take on a whole extra charm, beauty and adventure. Being comfortable in this environment when you have to juggle the use of axe and crampons alongside more extreme weather and the complexity of the avalanche hazard can feel like it's a big ask. Why not join us for a great day on the mountain where we can take care of the more serious aspects of the winter environment and provide you with the best winter adventure for you ability and the prevailing weather and conditions on the day.
The West Coast of Scotland is where we're based but we always have the possibility of heading further East, South or North for the best weather, conditions and day for you. Get in touch if you would like a great day out walking in winter and perhaps pick up a few skills along the way.

equipment
Winter boots, crampons and an ice axe will be required for winter walking. If you already own these, fantastic. If not we can help you hire equipment - just let us know in advance. If you would like to purchase your own before the course we would be more than happy to advise what might be best. We also have some kit which you may be able to hire for free; please enquire.
We will provide a helmet for each day. If you are not used to this technical equipment your guide will ensure it is used in the correct manner. We are here to make your experience as safe and fun as possible.
For kit rental we recommend Scottish Mountain Hire
Please see the Kit List for a comprehensive list of what you will need to bring.
