Winter Mountaineering

majestic munros. snow gullies. classic ridges.
The West Coast of Scotland has to be the best place in the UK for winter mountaineering. Whether you want to take your first steps into winter mountaineering, develop your skills to go it alone or just enjoy a great day in the mountains we're here to make it possible.  Below is a small fraction of what's achievable in the Mecca of Scottish Winter Mountaineering. Please enquire to discuss options and your aspirations. All our winter days are tailored around your needs and desires. We strive to make your day as safe, informative and fun as possible.

Ledge Route
An excellent introduction into the world of winter mountaineering surrounded by magnificent scenery on Ben Nevis. What a way to climb Britain's highest summit! And with a bit of everything mountaineering has to offer; gullies, faces, ridges and the UK's highest summit.

Curved Ridge

Buachaille Etive Mor; the most iconic mountain of Glencoe, looming over Rannoch Mor with such mountaineering history. Curved Ridge is the classic winter grade II/III route up the mountain and leads directly to the summit with incredible views and a great variety of climbing and mountaineering terrain.
"Thanks Caspar. I had a great day. You did a remarkable job looking after me!"     Tony B.

"I had a lot of fun climbing with Caspar.....I really enjoyed it!"     Luke P.
Aonach Eagach
Perhaps the longest and most famous ridge line on the Scottish mainland. This classic mountaineering route becomes an incredible experience in winter. Far more serious than in summer when it is commonly climbed, this ridge line is one to savour and is a true mountaineer's route.

Tower Ridge
A historic ridge line taking you from the Charles Inglis Clarke Memorial Hut to the UK's highest summit via a ridge which almost feels alpine in nature. A fantastic mountaineering challenge including the iconic Tower Gap. The way to summit Ben Nevis; this should be on every keen mountaineer's ticklist.
