This classic round circumnavigating Steall Falls over four Munros starts with a steep ascent of Sgurr a'Mhaim, the highest of the four summits for the day at 1099m. From here a narrow crest known as 'The Devil's Ridge' traverses over two subsidiary summits onto Am Bodach. A short steep descent to the north then drops to a small col where a fine ridge and re-ascent leads to the summit of Stob Coire a'Chairn and An Gearanach. From the final summit of the traverse a good zig zag path descends into Glen Nevis only minutes walk from Steall Falls, the confluence of the watershed this ridge line traverses. Finally the famous wire bridge leads via a good track back to the starting location.
"Between Loch Leven and Glen Nevis there stretches [...] one of the fnest mountain ranges in Scotland, the Mamores. [A chain] of Munros linked by narrow curving ridges, their flanks scalloped by many corries, while through the mountains there is a remarkable network of stalker's paths, climbing up the corries and along the ridges."
