Starting from Altnafeadh a good path leads past Lagangarbh hut and into Coire na Tulaich. As height is gained the path steepens and it is a welcome relief to eventually reach the top of the coire and climb up onto the ridge. Turning left leads to the high point of the day - Stob Dearg. After re-tracing steps for a short way, the ridge continues roughly south westerly and crosses the subsidiary tops of Stob na Doire and Stob Coire Altruim. The second Munro of Stob na Broige lies at the end of the ridge. The route returns along the ridge before descending to the north into Coire Altruim. The descent is steep at times but once Lairig Gartain is reached a well-constructed path leads back to Altnafeadh.
"The Buachaille Etive Mor, and in particular it's highest peak Stob Dearg, is one of the grandest and best-known mountains in Scotland, standing as it does in isolation and rising abruptly above the north-west corner of Rannoch Moor. The great walls, gullies and buttresses of Stob Dearg give that peak a decided air of impregnability, at least as far as the hill walker is concerned."

The Wee Buachaille: As home to 2 of the easier Munros, and with it's position near the top of Glen Coe, the Wee Buachaille offers a fantastic introduction to Scottish hill walking.

From just above the Meeting of the Three Waters a path leads into Lairg Eilde before turning left to head steeply uphill. After a steady climb the gradient begins to ease before it eventually flattens as the bealach is reached. Turning right the path climbs again until it reaches the long, flat ridge which is followed to gain the summit of Stob Dubh. Continuing over the summit a short way offers spectacular views down to Loch Etive. The route returns the same way to the bealach before a short climb to the second Munro of Stob Coire Raineach. The descent is by the same path back down to the car park.
"The Buachaille Etive Beag is in size and character the small brother of the Buachaille Etive Mor, and it has many similarities. Only when seen from Glen Etive does the Buachaille Etive Beag match it's big brother in height and appearance"
