the skye cuillin

The greatest mountain range in Britain.
Explore it with us!
The Skye Cuillin Munros are some of the most prized and challenging summits in Britain with what we believe to be the most spectacular mountain scenery anywhere in the UK. Though the peaks on the Cuillin Ridge may not have the stature of some Munros they are still a formidable challenge. Starting at or very close to sea level, covering technical ground and travelling through a labyrinth of paths and false paths only adds to the challenge. This is why we are here to provide expert guiding in a safe and professional manner, ensuring the best chance of success!
"Just want to thank Caspar for an amazing day out. It was an experience I'll never forget. Though it was a challenge for me, Caspar was brilliant and I felt I could trust him with my life."     Phil C.
We offer private guiding tailored to your goals and requirements, and on dates which suit you. Whether you wish to tackle the Inaccessible Pinnacle or any of the other 11 Cuillin Munros, take on one of the more challenging scrambles such as Pinnacle Ridge on Sgurr nan Gillean or the infamous Clach-Glas Blaven Traverse, or climb some classic rock routes such as Naismith's Route on Am Bhasteir, we can tailor the guiding to your aspirations.

Please enquire to let us know what your aspirations are and we will endeavour to make them a reality.
Enquire

If you're looking to attempt the Cuillin Ridge Traverse, this is what we specialise in. For more information please see our Cuillin Traverse page or get in touch to discuss anything and everything traverse orientated.

Equally if you would like to climb all the Cuillin Munros, but perhaps not as a continuous ridge traverse, we guide the Cuillin Munros more than any other mountains. Check our
Cuillin Munros page for more details and feel free to get in touch to discuss what you would like to achieve.

Fitness
The Cuillin Munros are achievable for the fit hill-walker. To aid success it is advised that you have good ‘hill-fitness’, have some experience of exposed terrain and have some general upper body strength to cope with the technical ground and long days. For those who are not regular hill-walkers, a good level of cardio fitness and general upper body strength are necessary.

Days are normally 7-10 hours long, with roughly 1000m of ascent and 15km covered daily. You do not have to have experience of roped climbing or scrambling.
equipment
We will provide a harness and helmet for each day. If you are not used to this technical equipment your guide will ensure it is used in the correct manner. They will also assess the groups abilities and the prevailing weather and use a rope when they see fit. We are here to make your experience as safe and fun as possible.

Please see the Kit List for a comprehensive list of what you will need to bring.
